Jason with Dr. Linehan
I have 16 years of clinical experience and have worked in various other professions. I grew up in a small Mid-Western town and have lived in the Los Angeles metropolis for 25 years. I earned a BA from Hope College in Philosophy and Psychology. I received my Master's of Social Work from USC.
I have had training in DBT from Tony DuBose PhD, Melanie Harned PhD, Kathryn Korslund PhD, and DBT creator Marsha Linehan PhD. I have also had training with David Burns MD, the author of Feeling Good.
In addition to my passion in continuing to hone my therapy skills, I also enjoy studying other interests, including technology, law, and philosophy.
In my current position at Kaiser Permanente Behavioral Health, I have designed and oversee a comprehensive DBT program. The program services over 50 patients weekly. I lead a treatment consultation team, provide direction and training to DBT clinicians int the practice of DBT. At Kaiser I run 3 skills groups and an IOP.
I am President of JEG Therapy, Inc. and have recently founded Southern California DBT Clinic. Initially based in Encino, I recently relocated to Westlake Village. At this moment it is a small part-time practice
